A group of beer enthusiasts has set out to create the best beer they've ever tasted. Fire Pils is the local brewery in the city, where community matters just as much as the foam balance when serving the beer. A brewery and bar that celebrates the art of beer with openness and warmth.
Erling Viksjø's naturbetong adorns the old building of Oslo Health Council, located in close proximity to the brewery. The unpolished and rigid, yet fluid expression of this building and the surrounding environment laid the foundation for the identity. The visual language is based on a pattern inspired by Viksjø's concrete, evoking associations with both the brewing process and the community at Fire Pils' premises.
In addition to the identity, a series of beer cans are designed for retail. The packaging design uses the same pattern, though with a more explanatory feature, where the density of the pattern gradually increases according to the darkness of the beer.

I'm Theodor (22), a graphic designer and occasional photographer currently undergoing studies at Kristiania/Westerdals. My interest centers around brand identities, books, editorial design, and more recently type design. Though I’am constantly searching for new challenges, methods and contexts to fuel my work. An admirer of the craft and a believer that great ideas come to life through collaboration and meticulous craftsmanship.
